Merriment and conviviality were specialties of the house at Wetherburn’s Tavern. Get a glimpse into the private lives of Henry Wetherburn, his family, and his slaves—who made the tavern one of the most successful of the 1750s.

The tavern and the dairy out back are both original buildings.

Illumination of the Taverns
Enjoy a traditional 18th-century seasonal celebration featuring the illumination of the colonial taverns and the surrounding buildings with candles and cressets. The spectacle will be accompanied by a narrative, the firing of muskets, and music performed by the Fifes and Drums.
