Independence Day Celebration

July 4 Mobile Experience

Begin your Independence Day celebration with our special Salute to the States in the Revolutionary City and a dramatic reading of the Declaration of Independence. Spend your afternoon touring the city. With a family-friendly buffet dinner at the Williamsbug Lodge, a performance by the Virginia Symphony Orchestra, and a dazzling display of fireworks—you’ll want to come early and stay late into the evening.

    Celebrate the Fourth of July with a family-friendly evening of sumptuous food, stellar entertainment, and reserved seating for the fireworks. Feast on a
    come-and-go as you please buffet dinner at the Williamsburg Lodge with entertainment by The Jangling Reinharts. Arrive early or stay after dinner for children’s games and activities on the Virginia Lawn. A cash bar will open at 4 p.m. Be led by the Fifes and Drums to your seats on Palace Green at 7:20 p.m. for the Virginia Symphony Orchestra concert and to watch the fireworks.

    $85 adults, $55 children ages 6–12
    (includes concert ticket with preferred reserved seating. Children 5 and under are free with no reserved seat)

    Reserve a chair for $45 per person. Get up close and personal on Palace Green, with comfortable seats for the Virginia Symphony Orchestra performance and fireworks. Limited seating available.

    Stop by our refreshment stands in Market Square to purchase treats, cold apple cider, water, refillable Souvenir Cups and Mugs. There, you’ll also find glow sticks to help illuminate the city.

Parking and Transportation

Take advantage of free parking at the Colonial Williamsburg Regional Visitor Center, where you can purchase admission tickets and use our shuttle bus service. Please note that the pedestrian bridge to the Revolutionary City will be closed to traffic from 9:15 to 10 p.m.
