Our Traditions. Your Memories.
Did you know that the holiday magic of a Colonial Williamsburg Christmas includes firelit gardens and cressets and even a shadow puppet show? The traditional handmade decorations—circles of evergreen dotted with fresh fruit—still adorn our doorways and windows, as they have for more than 70 years. And, we have new ways for you to build on these tried-and-true traditional decorations. We will help enliven your annual celebrations and give your family memories and stories to reflect upon for years to come.
You may enjoy a carriage ride in the snow, breakfast with Santa, or a special presentation of A Christmas Carol by a relative of Charles Dickens! Our holiday story begins the day after Thanksgiving, when music, dance, and merriment illuminate our taverns, hotels, and theaters. The 2011 season offers more than 100 special events and 30 new programs just for you.
A Colonial Williamsburg holiday will offer you an experience like no other.
