Colonial Williamsburg offers guests two distinctive world-class museums, the DeWitt Wallace Decorative Arts Museum and the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Museum, at a single location. Make your museum visit extra special when you Stroll the Gallery with a Nation Builder.
Imagine discussing and learning about museum artifacts from one of our Nation Builders, like young Thomas Jefferson, Martha Washington, James Madison or George Washington. View these treasures through their eyes and begin to understand their 18th-century perspective, opinions and insights.
During the walking tour, you will be joined by a museum educator who will provide an overview of how museum staff works tirelessly to identify and acquire new treasures while preserving existing artifacts. With over 70,000 artifacts in the collections, ensuring their preservation for future generations is a top priority. At the conclusion of the tour, guests are encouraged to explore both museums at their leisure.
Colonial Williamsburg Nation Builders and museum educators look forward to meeting you and your family. Remember, when you leave, be sure to let them know which artifact was your favorite and why!
