    How many hotels make up Colonial Williamsburg Hotels?

    Colonial Williamsburg Hotels are a collection of three first-class conference hotels (Williamsburg Lodge, Williamsburg Inn and the Williamsburg Woodlands Hotel and Suites) and three leisure hotels (The Griffin Hotel, Colonial Houses–Historic Lodging, and the Governor’s Inn) for a total of 1,051 guest rooms.

    What amenities do you offer to conference groups?

    Each of the hotels offers complimentary high-speed WiFi, no resort fees, no food and beverage minimums, complimentary self-parking and shuttle service in and around Colonial Williamsburg’s Revolutionary City.

    How many meeting rooms do you have available?

    There are a total of 48 meeting rooms between the Colonial Williamsburg Hotels. The Williamsburg Lodge offers 28 meeting rooms, the Williamsburg Inn and The Griffin Hotel offer 9 meeting rooms, and the Williamsburg Woodlands Hotel and Suites offers 11 meeting rooms.

    What is the largest group that Colonial Williamsburg Hotels can accommodate?

    Colonial Williamsburg Hotels can accommodate meeting groups of up to 1,000 guest rooms. Our 67,000 square feet of flexible meeting and banquet space can comfortably accommodate up to 1,300 people for meetings and banquets and 850 for dining banquets.

    Do you have outdoor function space?

    Yes, there are a number of unique gardens, lawns, and terraces for outdoor events, totaling an additional 25,000 square feet of function space.

    What types of meetings and events do you specialize in?

    Colonial Williamsburg Hotels has the ability to host meetings and events of all levels and budgets, including national sales meetings, shareholder meetings, executive board meetings, recognition events, retreats, training and educational events, reunions, weddings and special events.

    What dining options are available for conference groups?

    In addition to our extensive Banquet offerings, Colonial Williamsburg has 6 resort restaurants and 4 historic dining taverns that groups may choose to dine at. Colonial Williamsburg’s Merchants Square provides additional dining opportunities within a short walk from the majority of the Colonial Williamsburg Hotels.

    Do you have a spa?

    Yes and the Spa of Colonial Williamsburg is the only spa in Virginia to be recognized by Forbes Travel Guide with its distinguished Four-star award. Offering services inspired by centuries of wellness practices, the Spa of Colonial Williamsburg also has an indoor pool, two outdoor pools, and full-service fitness center with daily fitness classes. 

    Do you have a golf course?

    Colonial Williamsburg’s Golden Horseshoe Golf Club offers 45 holes of championship golf across three golf courses—The Gold Course, Green Course and 9-hole Spotswood Course. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and son Rees Jones each course is designated as an Audubon sanctuary and is free of encroaching real estate. The Golden Horseshoe was awarded the “Premier Golf Resort Gold Medal” by Golf Magazine and listed by Conde Nast Traveller as a “Top Ten Resorts in the South.”

    What other recreational activities do you offer?

    As a guest of a Colonial Williamsburg Hotel, you can enjoy a variety of recreational options, including tennis at the Williamsburg Inn Tennis Club, lawn bowling, croquet, volleyball, table tennis, horseshoes, shuffleboard, bike rentals, and extensive nature trails for walking, jogging, and hiking.

    Colonial Williamsburg Hotels offers a variety of programs that can be customized for your group and their guests—everything from culinary demonstrations in the Taste Studio, to ghost walks to behind the scenes tours at the Art Museums of Colonial Williamsburg. Our accredited in-house DMC, Sterling Events will work with you to plan and customize the exact experience you want to offer, from walking tours through the Revolutionary City, to schooner charters down the York River.

    How do you get to the Colonial Williamsburg Hotels?

    The Colonial Williamsburg Hotels are located in the heart of Williamsburg, Virginia which is located mid-way between Richmond, Virginia and Norfolk Virginia. Getting here is easy as there are more than 200 daily flights into three nearby airports:

    • Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport (PHF) (20 minutes)
    • Norfolk International Airport (ORF) (45 minutes)
    • Richmond International Airport (RIC) (45 minutes
    • The Williamsburg-Jamestown Airport (JGG) is also approximately 5 minutes away for guests choosing to travel by private aircraft.

    Are pets allowed?

    The Williamsburg Inn, The Williamsburg Lodge, The Griffin Hotel, and Williamsburg Woodlands offer pet friendly accommodations based on availability.

    Is there a fee to bring a pet?

    Yes. The Williamsburg Inn, The Williamsburg Lodge, and The Griffin Hotel guesthouses require a non-refundable $50 per day cleaning fee. The Williamsburg Lodge accepts dogs only. The Williamsburg Woodlands requires a non-refundable $25 per day cleaning fee.

    Is there a deposit required for pets?


    Are there restrictions for weight, height, or types?

    Yes. Dogs must be less than 50 pounds and no more than 2 dogs per room are permitted. You will be asked to sign a short pet policy accepting responsibility for any damage or special cleaning costs. We'll also ask for your cellular phone number so we may contact you, if necessary, while your pet is alone in the room.

    What is the Historic Area?

    Colonial Williamsburg’s Historic Area is the restored 18th-century capital of colonial Virginia. Comprised of 22 historic sites, 30 18th-century trades, and the Art Museums of Colonial Williamsburg, here you will engage with the locals and experience firsthand life in the 18th century in this 300-acre community.
